balladur
amédée de murcia
French electronic musician, releasing music since 2006 on various labels and in various genres, in solo or bands. I did IDM on netlabels, pop synth tunes on wax, harsh break techno on tapes, noise performances in the streets but also neoclassical or experimental music for dance show and art exhibitions.
Furthermore, I’m involved in the French, Swiss and Belgian DIY scene by touring, promoting shows, or doing fanzine.

Balladur has changed with time. No longer the wild pop force that emerged from the French noise scene in the 2010s, the duo has wandered across the territory, played everywhere, and traveled down backroads in a Peugeot 205. While they still create beautiful songs influenced by global sounds, their latest record is darker than anything we've heard from them before. Pourquoi certains arbres sont si grands features 9 tracks filled with nostalgia, lost hopes, and a unique nihilistic tone, blending '70s Italian passion, raw lyrics, a taste for chiaroscuro, and haunting synths. Once a "Cold Wave" band in 2013, Balladur has shed all labels and delivered their most intense and captivating album yet.
